Lititz artist Andy Smith is be sharing his work at Landis Homes for the first time. The exhibit will be on display through April in the Harvest View lobby and Galleries and Landis Homes. The exhibit consists of a mix of original watercolor paintings and prints, with a variety of subjects from landscapes to still life. I paint every day,” he says. “I need to be working on something every day or I don’t feel fulfilled.”

Andy began painting professionally in 1980 and has participated in shows and exhibits along the East coast. He is a watercolorist and has received inspiration from many artists including Vermeer, Winslow Homer and Andrew Wyeth. He says he has always liked the way light impacts the subjects of his paintings.

Smith and his wife and business manager, Linda, work and have their studio in their home in Lititz. They are the parents of one grown daughter who lives out of state. Andy also is a track coach at Warwick Middle School and is an avid bicyclist.

He is in the process of expanding his breadth of subjects as a result of travels in 2015 to Belgium, France and several locations in Italy. There will be a sampling of this new work at the February showing. Andy’s website is www.andysmithartist.com
