Charitable Remainder Trust
Appreciated assets like real estate or securities can be turned into a cash gift without losing much of the gain to taxes. The gift asset is transferred to the trust and the trust sells the asset. Donors receive a tax deduction and receive income for life based on an agreed-upon rate.
Life Insurance
