August 4 Art Show Features Many Artists

Velma Magill, Mary Trees and Merrill Freed show their artwork.

Mary Trees began painting watercolors in 1990. She attended local art classes to develop her skill and expanded into oils at a workshop at Art New England in Vermont. All her works are one-of-a-kind originals. A love of flowers makes them her favorite subject to paint.

During the month of August, in addition to Mary's work, artwork will also be displayed by a variety of artists who have donated pieces to Landis Homes' Fellowship Day Auction to be held on September 12. Visitors to the reception will be able to place silent bids on some of the works.

The opening reception will be held on Tuesday, August 4, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in the Harvest View galleries.

These artists who will exhibit donated work include Suk Shuglie, Bob Redcay, Lila Garber, Gladys Zeiset, Liz Hess, Helena Dueck, Merrill Freed, Velma Magill, Anna Smith, Ruth Horning, Jim Bowman, Lin Bowman, Howard Wenger, Jeanette Oberholtzer, and Jim King. Many of the donating artists will be in attendance that evening.
