Landis Homes Announces Two New Board Members

Landis Homes recently announced the appointment of two new board members for the coming year. They are Kenneth Brubaker and Dorothy Yoder.

Brubaker, of Mount Joy, is a native son of Lancaster County and serves as a physician with Lancaster General Hospital. He was cofounder of Norlanco Family Practice, now part of Lancaster General. He received national recognition as the American Medical Associations' 2008 Medical Director of the Year.

Brubaker received his education from Goshen College, Goshen Seminary, Hahnemann Medical School (now Drexel University), Lancaster General Family Practice Residency and a geriatric fellowship at the Philadelphia Geriatric Center. He is also an active member at Mount Joy Mennonite Church.

He served on the board previously and has also served as board chair.

Dottie Yoder

Yoder is a retired nurse and Landis Homes resident. Yoder and her husband, Roland served in Africa with Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) and also with Eastern Mennonite Missions. Presently they are working with the Mennonite Mission Network as coordianators for SOOP (Service Opportunities for Older persons) in Arizona.

Yoder has prior board membership experience at Dock Woods Retirement Community, Souderton. She is a member of East Chestnut Street Mennonite Church, Lancaster.
