New Finance Officer Begins

Carolyn Burke, RN, BSN, CPA, was recently hired by Landis Homes as Vice President of Finance/Chief Financial Officer. She most recently served as Director of Accounting with The Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg where she was employed since August 2008.
From 1999-2008, she was a member of the ParenteBeard LLC's (formerly Parente Randolph LLC Senior Living Services Group in the Wilkes-Barre, PA office. Initially, her focus was on audits of several senior living services clients that included continuing care retirement communities, skilled nursing facilities and subsidized housing projects for seniors. Landis Homes was one of her earliest assignments. She later moved into a supervisory position at ParenteBeard.
Burke graduated summa cum laude from Misericordia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Bloomsburg University. Prior to working in public accounting, she spent 8 years working as a registered nurse and she continues her nursing license. She is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
Carolyn lives in Mechanicsburg, where she enjoys her two cats, reading, walking and watching the Hershey Bears ice hockey team.
