Two New Board Members Announced

Landis Homes recently announced the appointment of two new board members for the coming year. Daniel D. Mast and Alvin M. Weaver were appointed to the board in April 2009.

Alvin M. Weaver
Weaver, of Lititz, is a native son of Lebanon County and a current resident of Landis Homes. He is a retired dairy farmer who also worked in housing development in Lebanon County. Weaver previously served on many local boards including Lancaster Mennonite Schools, Sharing Programs, Jubilee Ministries and New Covenant Christian School.


Daniel D. Mast
Mast, of Willow Street, is an Internal Medicine Physician with specialty in Geriatric Medicine. He is a graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Mast has prior and current board membership experience on Hospice of Lancaster County, Lancaster General Utilization Review Board and other organizations.

Said Mast: "I look forward to caring and advocating for our elders, many of whom have cared and advocated for us. I have become familiar with Landis Homes by visiting family and seeing patients there. I have noticed and appreciated the high standard of attention to details and active compassion by caregivers."

Other board members include Chair John W. Eby, Vice Chair Robert H. Leaman, Teasurer Daryl E. Eshleman, Secretary Lois M. Good, Assistant Secretary Susan E. Godshall, Greg A. Gilligan, Dottie M. Martin, James R. Martin, Evelyn M. Miller, Glenn D. Moffett, Rachel Thomas Pellman, Connie H. Stauffer, and Gretchen J. Thomas.
