Michele Stipe began as the Director of Life Enrichment in April. In this role she is responsible for oversight and coordination of the total resident wellness programming including physical, social, spiritual, intellectual, and vocational wellness and the general activities program at Landis Homes.

She will also collaborate with the Children’s Learning Center on campus for intergenerational events and will be a key player in the new programing for the Learning & Wellness Center which will open in the Spring of 2018.

Stipe comes with much experience in this field. She was most recently employed as Wellness Manager at Mennonite Home and has prior experience as a Wellness Director at Brethren Village. She is a graduate of Gettysburg College with a degree in business administration and is currently attending California University of Pennsylvania to obtain her master’s degree later this year in Exercise Science and Health Promotion.

Michele, who is originally from Maryland, lives with her husband in Lititz, PA. They are the parents of four young adult children, the youngest of which is a senior in high school. She serves as a Life Group Leader at the LCBC Church. In her spare time she enjoys exercise, jogging, watching movies, reading, spending time with her family and attending her youngest son’s soccer games.

She said, “I have a dog, Jingles, a Bichon, who is 11 years old and is my best buddy!”

Stipe went on to say, “When I shared with people about my new position, I heard nothing but wonderful comments about  what a great place Landis Homes is to work and live. I’m excited to be here and look forward to getting to know other  team members and residents.”
