Art Reception for Local Photographer–Sept. 13
Nick grew up in Bucks County and currently lives in Mount Joy with his wife, Katie, and Australian shepherd pup, Finn. Two of Nick’s photographs of owls hang in the Owl Hill Bistro at Landis Homes.
Nick fell in love with photography as a young child and, with the support of his family and friends, has continued to develop his skills over the last several years. After high school, Nick attended Elizabethtown College where he studied chemistry and secondary education. Passionate about wildlife conservation and ethical photography, Nick’s subjects are never baited or lured and his photographs are exposed to limited processing.
Nick has worked the last 8 years as a high school science teacher in Hershey, spending his breaks exploring the outdoors, expanding his understanding of nature and building his collection. Nick participated in his first art show in 2016 and is grateful for the continued opportunities he has been provided to share his work with the community.
The opening reception, to which the public is welcome, will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 13, in the Crossings Gallery located in the new Calvin G. & Janet C. High Learning & Wellness Center. The exhibit will continue to be on display through October 2018. For more information, call 717-381-3550.
