Children’s Learning Center

Welcome to the Children’s Learning Center which provides quality child care on the Landis Homes campus, managed by Bright Horizons and Hildebrandt Learning Centers.

It is our pleasure to provide quality childcare on the Landis Homes campus. We believe our intergenerational program benefits persons of all ages as they interact, support and care for one another.

Center Staff — Individuals employed are chosen not only for their educational achievements and training but also for their previous experience in the early childhood field. Bright Horizons follows the employment guidelines of the PA Department of Public Welfare including state police and child abuse clearances.

Curriculum — Our center’s curriculum is designed to meet the whole needs of the child (physical, social, emotional, cognitive, self-help skills) in accordance with Best Practice guidelines established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Our NAEYC accredited center also utilizes PA educational standards and outcomes of young children as the foundation for teacher planned and directed in-depth studies and projects.

Drop-In Care – Whether a family is enrolled, registered or simply thinking about new child care options, Landis Homes center offers drop-in care for times when the unexpected happens. The same great care and program offered at a daily rate for when regular child care falls through. Drop-In Care information.

Nutrition — Breakfast and afternoon snack are provided by the center for all children except those not able to partake of table food. Lunch is provided by Dining Services at Landis Homes. Menus are developed and monitored by a registered dietitian.

Ages: The center cares for children from 6 weeks through 5 years.
