Parkinson’s Support Group–March 19
The Lancaster Parkinson’s Support Group will hold its next meeting on March 19. Dr. Xuemei Huang, a Parkinson’s physician-scientist, will address the group on the latest advances in Parkinson’s disease research and drug development. Huang is the Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Neurology at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Huang is internationally known for her research related to the mechanisms and therapy of Parkinson’s disease.
This public meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 19, at 2:00 p.m. in the Westview Community Room at Landis Homes, 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz. Following the meeting will be a time of refreshments and informal discussion.
The Lancaster County Parkinson’s Support Group meets at Landis Homes the third Monday of each month from March through November. The meetings are designed for education and support for persons diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and their families.
