A spring art reception will be held at Landis Homes on May 2, with a display of the most recent works of Larry Hostetter. This will be the first time Hostetter, who lives in Lancaster, will exhibit his work at Landis Homes.

Hostetter studied portrait painting for approximately 15 years under the instruction of Dr. Ronald Sykes at the Lancaster County Art Association. Larry began painting using oils, but in recent years he works with acrylics. As a hobby, he paints scenes and people from photographs and has also experimented doing clay sculptures of people and animals. Some of his woodcarvings representing the natural world will also be part of the exhibit.

The opening reception, to which the public is welcome, will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, in the Harvest View lobby and galleries at Landis Homes, 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz. Live music will be provided by Janet Eberly. The works will continue to be on display through July. For more information, call Landis Homes at 717-381-3550.
