April Myers joined the Landis Homes team recently as Director of Nursing. She will be responsible for clinical care administration in all areas of healthcare, including rehab and memory care. This includes program planning, organization, implementation and evaluation of a resident-focused care environment. Myers, of Millersville, has worked in many roles in her 20-year career in nursing and has served at hospitals, wound care center and retirement communities. She even worked part time at Landis Homes while in nursing school.

Her experience includes as an LPN, RN supervisor, RNAC and as Assistant Director of Nursing since 2015. Myers received her LPN degree at Lancaster County Career and Technology Center. She studied business and received her RN degree from Harrisburg Area Community College.

 “I am blessed to be a part of Landis Homes and am excited to get to know the amazing residents and families that chose this community as their home,” says Myers. “I am looking forward to working together as a team with the staff to continue to provide the quality care for which Landis Homes is known.”

When she is not working, Myers enjoys spending time, especially camping outings, with her family consisting of her husband, Charles, her two children and two grandchildren. Established in 1964, Landis Homes, located near Lititz, PA, is a not-for-profit retirement community, which is home to 800 persons living in cottages, apartments, suites, personal care and healthcare. Another 100 persons are served on a weekly basis in one of the two adult day services centers on the 114-acre campus, which is surrounded by Lancaster County farmland.
