Pathways Institute for Lifelong Learning® is excited to offer those 55+ another season of engaging courses! For the fall 2022 term, we are especially interested in highlighting the many advantages of peer learning. The opportunity to connect with others through the power of knowledge and surround oneself with a community of fellow lifelong learners is a wonderful advantage of a Pathways Institute membership – one that will continue to flourish this term as we see a continued return to “normal” in-person courses and off-site excursions.

The Lancaster County Fall 2022 term began with a kickoff event on August 2 at Calvary Church. Over 70 people attended to speak with instructors and learn about what courses are being offered.

The 40+ courses and learning opportunities, which run from September 6 – November 29, are open to all Lancaster County residents as well as residents from neighboring counties, who are 55+. Course topics include: Eternal Tourism: The Seven Wonders of the World; Americans Eat: Diverse Cuisines and Cultures; Virtual: Roads Leading to Midland Cemetery; Conservation in Modern Day Farming; and Praise Less, Encourage More.

In addition to courses, Pathways Institute also offers off-site opportunities and excursions, such as Introduction to Pickleball, Fulton Theatre Backstage Tour, and an Authentic Amish Dinner.

“It has been an exciting 13 years since my husband and I became aware of Pathways Institute for Lifelong Learning,” says Cathy Boshart, participant of Pathways Institute. “There has been amazing, affordable ongoing education in a broad scope of courses, all of which are offered with capable leadership and outstanding, experienced presenters, instructors, and educators in their own fields of study. Each class provides eye-opening experiences and opportunities to grow and remain mentally and physically keen. Some off-ground trips were offered as well. During these expeditions, I made more friends and shared memorable experiences.”

The Landis Homes campus is located at 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz PA 17543. The fall 2022 course catalog along with registration information can be found online at ThePathwaysInstitute.org/Lancaster-County. For more information, call 717.381.3577, or email info@thepathwaysinstitute.org.
