Agnes Handwerk’s exhibit will grace the walls of Crossings Art Gallery from March to April 2024. Renowned for her profound connection with the natural world, Agnes discovered her lifelong vocation of painting while studying under a distinguished modern artist in the Netherlands. She particularly found solace and inspiration in the vibrant mediums of colored pencil, acrylic, and watercolor, with a special affinity for capturing the essence of birds and farm animals.
Upon returning to the United States, Agnes’s artistic journey flourished as she immersed herself in various art associations and national art shows. Her attention to detail and unwavering dedication to her craft have garnered her numerous awards and accolades. Agnes’s masterpieces beautifully reflect her deep appreciation for the intricacies of fauna and flora, with watercolor emerging as her preferred medium.
Agnes and her husband, Bob, share a remarkable bond that spans 58 years of marriage. Having traversed continents and cultures during their adventures in Europe and the Middle East, they now call Pennsylvania home, residing in the Alden Place community in Cornwall.
