What is Personal Care?

Personal Care is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and designed for older adults who need assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, or medication reminders, but do not require ongoing skilled nursing care.

It’s different from nursing care and assisted living:

Personal Care supports daily routines and health maintenance.
Assisted Living may offer more medical supervision, depending on licensing.
Nursing Homes are for those needing 24/7 clinical care.

When is it Time for Personal Care?

You or your loved one might benefit from Personal Care if:

Daily activities feel overwhelming or unsafe.
Medication schedules are difficult to manage.
Meals or hygiene are being skipped or forgotten.

Our Personal Care areas are designed as smaller, intimate households—each with shared kitchen, living, and dining spaces to encourage social connections. Residents enjoy their private or semi-private rooms, plus shared community spaces for gathering, crafting, music, and memory-making.
