LEARNING & WELLNESS CENTER OVERVIEW
Ground breaking and site work has begun for a new Learning and Wellness Center designed to:
- Expand learning opportunities
- Promote all aspects of wellness
- Encourage community growth and interconnectedness
Located in the heart of campus and visible from Oregon Road, the new Learning and Wellness Center will provide a much-needed front door to Landis Homes. It will be our own version of Main Street—a bustling center of activity where connections will flourish.
In the Commons you will find a bistro and lounge that will offer a new dining venue for residents and their guests, an art gallery, hair salon, business center, bank pharmacy and more.
The Wellness Center will include a four-lane lap and therapy pool and a spa pool with natural lighting, a state of the art cardio and strength training room with equipment designed for an active aging population and a fitness studio to support group classes. Spiritual wellness will be encouraged in The Quiet Place, a series of small rooms for mediation and prayer. Also planned is an auditorium providing additional classroom space for the Pathways Institute for Lifelong Learning® classes and other educational and entertainment programs . The 103,000-square foot project, includes 22 residential living apartment and underground parking for those who live in the building.
“Connections: A Campaign for the Learning & Wellness Center” has been established to raise a minimum of $3.2 million for this important project. The project is estimated at $27 million that includes approximately $11 million for the Learning & Wellness Center.
